Research Assistant – Justice Transformation Team

Real justice transformation requires diverse coalitions and a shared commitment to implement impactful solutions. The Justice Transformation Team helps make real change possible by bringing together justice leaders and experts around a system challenge to deliver user-friendly justice.

The team is looking for an assistant who can support the team in conducting research and completing operational tasks. This position teaches to take on a high level of responsibility, working in an international team and in an environment dedicated to creating meaningful results. All in all, this position might constitute the perfect start of your career.

The position:

  • Conduct background research
  • Write clear, concise and appealing texts and reports
  • Solve practical problems and handle last-minute changes
  • Organize and facilitate team meetings
  • Provide project management support – planning and keeping track of project activities, reporting progress and results
  • Log, manage and analyse information on the progress of the project, using Excel and other programs

Our new colleague:

  • Has a completed Master degree in Law, International Relations, Political Science, Conflict Studies, Development Studies, Business Studies or equivalent
  • Has 1-2 years of experience with research and project management
  • Has strongly developed interpersonal skills
  • Has solid research and analytical skills
  • Has a clear motivation of supporting our user-friendly justice innovations
  • Has excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Fluent in English and, preferably, a good working knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic
  • Adapts quickly, anticipates needs and enjoys solving problems independently
  • Is adventurous and interested in travelling to unstable countries

  • Starting date: February 2019
  • We are offering a full-time position for an initial period of 7 months
